What Happens If Nothing Changes for the Next 10 Years?

Ten years will pass whether you make a decision or not.

You can spend them reading articles, saving videos and waiting until you feel ready. Your phone will be full of excellent advice. Your life may look exactly the same.

Impressive collection, though.

The calendar isn’t trying to scare you. It doesn’t care enough to try. It simply keeps moving.

IT ISN’T TOO LATE

My first real relationship didn’t happen until after I turned 40. I met the woman who became my wife, and we were married about six months later.

That is why I don’t believe you’re disqualified because you started late. I also don’t believe more time will solve the problem for you.

Time gave me more birthdays. Changing what I did gave me a wife.

WHAT STAYING THE SAME COSTS

If nothing changes, your life probably won’t collapse tomorrow. That’s what makes waiting so easy.

You go to work. You pay the bills. You get through another week. Then another birthday arrives, another friend gets married and the house is still quiet when you come home.

The cost doesn’t arrive all at once. It shows up one ordinary year at a time.

You already know how that feels. The question is how many more years you want to repeat it.

YOU DON’T NEED TO BECOME A DIFFERENT PERSON

You may already be responsible, capable and good at your job. The missing part isn’t your entire personality.

You need specific skills and consistent action. Meet more women. Make your interest clear. Learn how to move a relationship forward. Decide whether the woman in front of you wants the same marriage and family you want.

That is work. But it is a much smaller problem than rebuilding your whole identity because a few dates went nowhere.

CHANGE WHAT YOU DO

  • Put yourself around new people every week.
  • Start conversations instead of waiting to be discovered.
  • Stop treating one promising woman like your final opportunity.
  • Watch what she does, not what you hope she’ll become.
  • Keep building a life a good wife would want to join.

You don’t need all five handled perfectly before you begin. Pick the weakest one and work on it this week.

Then do it again next week.

THE NEXT TEN YEARS

Ten years from now, you’ll be older either way. You can be older with the same explanations, or older because you spent those years building toward a wife, children and a home with people in it.

No one can promise exactly how the next ten years will turn out. But repeating the last ten is still a decision.

Make a different one.
